The genus Aloe embraces about 300 kinds and belongs to the succulent (water saving) rosette plants. Since centuries it is said to have wonderous healing power. For Aloe there are a lot of picturesque terms. like for example "Lily of the desert", "Magic of  Heaven", "Medico in a pot" and "The Silent Healer".
Aloe Vera origins from the area of the Canary Island and West- to East-India.

Cultivation:
Cultivating the seeds of Aloe Vera is possible through-out the entire year. It would be best to use fine sieved soil with about 25% finely granuated sand (even better: quartz sand).
The soil must not be too rough, otherwise the seeds would fall through. To make it easier for you, we offer  frux cactus compost, with a ready-made mixture.
You thoroughly wet the soil with a water nebulizer, then you spread the seeds on top of it. All succulent plants are light germinators, that means, they msust not be covered in any way.
Now it's important to give a warm and humid environment to the seeds (16° - 25°C). You can supply a comfortable humidity, when you cover the seed dish with transparent foil or a pane of glass.
But you have to aerate it every two or three days for about two hours.
