Mounting the speed controller is much easier than you would expect, for you just put it literally onto the brown wire of the cable. Remove the lagging of the cable, where the speed controller is supposed to be installed, inbetween the plug and the fan. Having the controller the right side up, the plug has to be on the left hand side, and the fan on the right hand side. Cut the brown wire and remove some of it's lagging. Now you only need the two outer screw joints at the fan to affix the wire. Lreft side, the wire goes in, right side, the wire comes out and leads to the fan. Put into it's case, the controller now adjusts the amount of energy reaching the fan.
