You can find digital and mechanical clock timers. Both kinds of clock timers are for the purpuse to switch electric contact on and off in individually determined time intervals. To managed this, clock timers are positioned between the electric device and the power source (socket outlet).
Clock timers are very important for plant cultivation under artificial light, because they will - just for example - activate and deactivate the illuminants in the right time periods.
