A fan-box is nothing more than a snail-shell fan built-in into a box.
A fan-box needs much more space than a fan itself does, but is has got some remarkable advantages over a "naked" fan. At first a fan-box is much more silent, because the wood - and the added inner isolation of textile and cellulose holds back most of the noise.
