Les substrat coco ne comportent aucun nutriment. Il faut donc ajouter tout nutriments dont les plantes ont besoin par l'arrosage. D'après beaucoup de growers ceci est un avantage. Donc, coco est très demandé comme substrat et il y a de nombreux engrais pour la culture à l'aide de lumière artificielle et de coco.
