The word "Hydroponic" origins from the Greek words hydro water and ponos labor. Hydroponic is a method of growing plants by using mineral nutrient solutions in water, without soil. Plants roots in the mineral nutrient solution only, or in a substrate. That means, Hydroponics doesn't need nutrients inside the substrate.
